Let
me live:
a new
Spiritist
movie
addresses
abortion |
Produced
and
directed
by
filmmaker
Clovis
Vieira,
the film
Let
me live,
based on
the book
with the
same
title,
dictated
by the
Spirit
Luiz
Sergio
and a
psychographics
of the
psychic
Irene
Pacheco
Machado,
has the
spiritual
purpose
of
softening
the
violence
of
abortion
regarding
the
Spirits,
who need
a
physical
body. In
a clear
and
didactic
way, the
narrative
details
the
torment
that the
one
being
aborted
suffers
and the
devastating
consequences
for
those
who
practice
abortion,
as
patients
or
inducers,
performers
and
staff
participating
in this
act.
Below,
please
read the
interview
with
Clovis
Vieira,
Director
of this
feature
film
that
will
soon be
seen in
all
cinemas.
Is
there a
date for
the
release
of the
movie?
The film
is ready
and we
are
talking
to the
agents.
They
define
the
dates,
but we
will ask
for
August
or at
the
latest
in
September.(1)
What
parts of
the book
will be
shown in
the film?
The book
is
complex
and
deals
with
many
other
subjects.
Every
movie
needs to
be
focused
on a
theme -
in this
case, it
is on
abortion.
We also
included
aspects
of the
Doctrine
that we
have to
show so
that a
beginner
understands
Spiritism,
but it
does not
go into
abortion
side
issues,
so that
we do
not lose
the
focus of
the
story.
The
script
follows
the
book, in
which
Luiz
Sergio
is
called
to write
a book
about
abortion
and its
consequences
for the
reincarnating
Spirit,
relatives
and
those
who
practice
it.
How
difficult
is it to
produce
a
Spiritist
movie
today?
Regarding
the
financial
part it
is
difficult
because
companies
do not
sponsor
religious
films,
especially
Spiritist
ones.
But I
also did
not want
any
company
linked
to the
film. I
made the
film
selling
my
paintings,
with my
retirement
pay, and
with
financial
help
from my
children
and
friends.
We also
counted
with two
companies
with
which I
work
since
the 70s
and who
belong
to
friends
of mine.
We also
sold
film
quotas.
As I am
in the
theater
since
1969, I
have
enough
knowledge
to be
economic
and make
a high
quality
film
with a
smaller
budget.
This is
my
second
feature
film.
On
the
other
hand,
the
teachings
of the
Doctrine
are
earning
more
space in
the
current
Brazilian
cinema.
Does
this
give
more
credibility
and
confidence
in
future
investments?
Yes,
Spiritist
films
and
Brazilian
comedies
are
leaders.
I do not
make
Spiritist
movies
for this
reason.
In 1995,
when I
finished
Cassiopeia
(which
has a
lot of
the
Doctrine),
I just
decided
to make
movies
with
this
theme.
In 1997,
I
required
the
rights
to Let
me live
and I
started
working
on the
script,
but only
in 2010
could I
start
the
production.
In any
country,
producing
films is
very
difficult.
My
choice
in
making
this
kind of
film is
not
because
of
financial
profits.
I am a
Spiritist
and an
unfolding
psychic.
For me,
my
mission
is
rewarding.
The
talent
that I
was
given by
Spirituality
is for
this
reason:
to
promote
Spirituality
using
cinema.
And the
income
will be
allocated
to other
Spiritist
movies.
I hope
to do
many
still in
this
incarnation.
If so I
may.
What
can the
public
expect
from
this
feature?
The
public
can
expect a
high
quality
film.
The
technicians
are the
best in
Brazil
and
comparable
to the
best in
the
world.
The
actors
represented
their
characters
magnificently.
We had
to stop
filming
several
times
because
we would
often
cry. We
could
see
nothing
as we
cried
touched
by the
scenes.
We did
not cry
because
of the
strong
scenes
of
suffering
(which
were
softened),
but
because
of the
spiritual
redemption
and deep
love
that the
rescuer
Spirits
devoted
to the
suffering
Spirits.
We had
an
episode
where
our
producer
had to
leave
the film
set
crying
compulsively
and was
comforted
by the
actor
who
plays
the role
of Luiz
Sergio.
The
scenes
of the
spiritual
plane
and of
the
Umbral (the
lower
zones)
are
excellent.
It took
a year
and a
half to
make
this
movie
and the
soundtrack
is
magnificent.
I
believe
that
today
this is
the most
important
Spiritist
matter,
because
there
are
almost
one
million
abortions
in
Brazil
and, if
I am not
mistaken,
45
million
in the
world.
Thus,
there
are
thousands
of
reincarnating
souls in
distress.
We hope
that
with
this
film,
like the
book,
people
will
become
aware of
this
situation
and
bring a
relief
to it.
The film
is 1h
40min
long,
and when
watching
it, we
were
kind of
hypnotized
by the
succession
of the
events.
We hope
to
contribute
with
arguments
against
abortion
and with
the
spreading
of the
Doctrine,
demonstrating
the
logic of
reincarnation
and the
support
of
Spirituality
in our
physical
world.
And,
above
all, to
show
that
only
love is
the way
to our
evolution.
Who is
Luiz
Sergio?
He is
the
spiritual
writer
of the
book
Let me
live
Luiz
Sergio,
who
lived in
the city
of
Brasilia,
was a
happy
and
charismatic
young
man. He
was an
engineering
student,
and
passed
away at
age of
23 in
1973,
due to a
car
accident.
Soon
after
its
disembodiment,
he began
to
communicate
through
his
cousin,
the
psychic
Alayde
Asuncion
and
Silva,
to tell
his
relatives
his
recent
body
experiences
through
his
first
three
books:
The
world
that I
found
(1976)
New
Messages
(1978)
and
Exchange
(1981).
After
these
first
books,
the
Spirit
Luiz
Sergio
had the
opportunity
to share
his
experiences
in the
spiritual
world
through
other
books
such as:
• In the
hope of
a new
life;
•
Stretched
out
hands;
• Let me
live,
among
others,
psychographics
by the
psychic
Irene
Pacheco
Machado.
