It has been
20 years since Barbara
Ivanova visited us
Alexander Solzhenitsyn, the
renowned author of "The
Gulag Archipelago," which
made an enourmous success in
the west, has said that it
was necessary to bring God
back to human concerns, both
in politics and in cultural
and social field. This is
the theme of this week’s
editorial, entitled Has God
been lacking in our lives?
One of the highlights of the
week is the interview
conceded by the journalist
Ângela Moraes, from the city
of Bauru (Sao Paulo state)
to our colleague Orson Peter
Carrara. Angela is the
author
of the book Answers
that life brings, the
interviewee talks about her
work and highlights the
importance of the book The
Gospel According to
Spiritism, of Kardec,
which she often used to
call “ A practical manual to
live well”.
Another highlight of the
week is the conclusion of
the special from
Alexandre Fontes da Fonseca,
from Volta Redonda
(Rio de Janeiro state), who
talked about the doctrinal
purity; the first part has
been published in the
previous edition.
Last Thursday, the 17th
June, it completed 20 years
since Barbara Ivanova
visited the city of Londrina.
Barbara is a famous Russian
parapsychologist and psychic
who wrote the book "The
Golden Cup", as shown in a
special report which is also
one of the highlights of
this edition.

The 16th of June 1871 brings
to our minds an important
fact: it was the day when
Sir William Crookes (London,
June 17, 1832 - April 4,
1919), an English chemist
and physicist, has presented
to Queen Victoria of
England, the report
confirming the veracity of
psychic phenomena produced
by the medium Florence Cook.
