A chat with radio host
Adriano Pereira Marques
A fact that occurred to
Allan Kardec in April 1860
inspired the script of one
more film about spiritual
subjects, due to be released
at the end of this year or
beginning of next year, as
it is revealed in this
week’s Foreword, named A
new film, based on the
spiritist doctrine.
Among this edition’s
highlights, we would like
point out the interview
fellow colleague Adriano
Pereira Marques, from the
city of São Paulo-SP, gave
to our collaborator Orson
Peter Carrara. In the
interview, the young radio
host talks about his
experience in promoting
spiritism through Boa Nova
radio station, in which he
is responsible for two very
popular talk shows.
Another highlight of the
week is the Special article
by Jáder Sampaio, from Belo
Horizonte-MG, regarding the
Hydesville phenomena and its
importance to the appearance
of modern Spiritism.
The third highlight of this
edition is an article about
SEI (Spiritist Information
Service) paper, an acclaimed
spiritist publication in
Brazil and abroad, which
since October 2009 started
to be edited by the
International Spiritist
Council.

Yesterday - October 9th –
was a day to remember the so
called Auto de Fé de
Barcelona, a sad episode
that took place on this same
day in the year of 1861,
when following orders of the
Catholic Church, through one
of its ministers, several
books sent by Kardec to a
Spanish bookseller were
burnt. The issue was brought
up in the news by Revue
Spirite in November
1861.
