A new film based on the Doctrine Spiritist
It is said that on the morning of April 1860 was cold in Paris and Allan Kardec was not only exhausted, but overwhelmed, because scarce money for the work and sarcastic missives swelled up on his desk.
While most appeared to be despondent, his wife gave him specific order that had been sent by a young man named Joseph Perrier. In a letter filed with the order, the boy resumed his story and revealed the reason had addressed the encoder of Spiritualism.
Two years before - he said - had married Antoinette, but the happiness that followed his marriage had dissolved soon, since the beginning of the year, driven by sneaky disease, his wife departed this life.
Dissatisfied with the irreparable loss, Joseph decided to kill himself, an idea that was welling up in his mind that he left for the act, decided to jump into the river Seine, which would lead to certain death, since not swim.
An unusual fact changed, but the course of events. Being chosen as the bridge, lay a hand on the railing to jump, he touched an object that fell to the ground. The object was a book whose title immediately caught his attention: "The Book of Spirits," a play written by Kardec, which gave rise to the spiritual doctrine.
Opening it, he saw what was written at the very top of the homepage: "This book saved my life. Read it carefully and enjoy it. A. Laurent. "
The suicide was not consummated. Joseph Perrier became a spiritualist to that sentence and added another in his own hand: "You saved me too. God bless the souls who cooperated in their publication. Joseph Perrier. "
Annex to the order was richly bound, as a gift to Kardec, the copy that had referred to the sender.

That inspired the screenplay for another movie about spiritualist themes, which should debut later this or early next year. The producer responsible for the project is the World Largest Film, which belongs to the Foundation Spiritist André Luiz.
Directed by André and Michel Marouço Dubret, the film follows the trajectory of a man who, at age 40, is headed for suicide after the death of his wife, but is faced with The Book of Spirits and begins a journey of inner transformation.
Titled "The Movie of the Spirits," the film had much of his recordings made in São Paulo, but other cities as Atibaia, Araçoiaba da Serra and Ubatuba and also served as the location for the story.
The cast includes actors known to the Brazilian public, like Nelson Xavier - who played Chico in the biopic of the medium - Etty Fraser, Ana Rosa, Enio Gonçalves and presenter Luciana Gimenez, Network TV, who plays a lady of 70 years. Reinaldo Rodrigues is the protagonist.
We hope this new production has upheld similar to those that had long Chico Xavier and Our Home, especially as stories such as Joseph Perrier are not exceptions, but an obligation, since - as I said Kardec - well understood, Spiritualism is an excellent preservative against suicide, despair and madness.
