The study of the "The
Spirits’ Book" starts today
The title of this week’s
editorial is “Chico and
Kardec, two giants, but
distinct”, that talks
about Chico Xavier and his
assistance work to the
poorest.
One of the features of this
edition is an interview
given to our collaborator
Orson Peter Carrara by our
colleague Flávio Amaral
Castilian, born in Piabetá,
Magé-RJ, where he resides
and is CEO of the Gospel
Growers Spiritual Center.
Flávio was responsible for
the production and release
of the book "The Young
Spiritist Wants to Know"
published by Lorenz
Publishing, where 25
Spiritist writers respond to
questions sent by members of
several Spiritist youth
groups. The book’s contents
and goals are the central
theme of this interview.
Another feature of this
issue is a special article
written by our colleague
Americo Domingos Nunes Filho,
from Rio de Janeiro-RJ,
about the true identity of
the medium Chico Xavier, who
many associate with the
encoder of Spiritism.
Aligning facts and
statements by the medium,
the author shows that the
much touted thesis, in spite
of respectable advocates,
has no support in reality.
The English Spiritist
movement remains, as usual,
very active and in constant
exchange with the Brazilian
Spiritists, such as the
colleague Andrei Moreira,
president of Spiritist
Medical Association of Minas
Gerais, who was in London in
mid-April promoting
Spiritism, as shown in the
story by Claudia Werdine,
another feature of this
edition.

The studies of the Kardecian
Pentateuch and the works of
Manoel Philomeno de Miranda
begin today. The books
initially focused are,
respectively, "The
Spirits’ Book" and "Behind
the Scenes of Obsession”.
Also, as of today, this
magazine counts with the
assistance of our colleague
Maria Reyna, worker from the
Joanna de Angelis Spiritist
Center in Lima, Peru. She
will make the translation
into Spanish of the studies
of the Kardecian Pentateuch.
