A chat with Jamiro dos
Santos Filho
This week’s editorial, “To
decriminalize the sale and
consumption of drugs is a
serious mistake” comments on
and supports the Charter of
Principles signed at the end
of the VIII Congress of the
Spiritist Medical
Association of Brazil,
opposing the
decriminalization of the use
and sale of marijuana.
One of the features of this
edition is an interview
given to our collaborator
Orson Peter Carrara by the
colleague Jamiro dos Santos
Filho, from Araguari-MG.
Writer of several published
books and speaker who has
taken his words to almost
all Brazilian states, Jamiro
recounts his experience -
inspired by the medium Chico
Xavier - on founding in his
hometown an institution that
integrates School and
Spiritist Center in the same
space.
Another feature is the
special article by Leonardo
Marmo Moreira focusing on
the theme of homosexuality
and sexual orientation given
to children and adolescents,
a topic that in recent
months has gained widespread
prominence in our country.
A major event organized by
the Belgian Spiritist Union,
which brought together
spiritists from various
countries, was held in June
at Castle Wegimont in Liège,
Belgium, as shown in the
article by Claudia Werdine,
which is also one of the
features of this edition.

Yesterday, July 16th,
we celebrated the birth of
Clare of Assisi, known in
the Catholic faith as St.
Clare of Assisi, which took
place in 1194. A religious
nun from the time of Francis
of Assisi, Chiara
d'Offreducci died on August
11, 1253, and was the
founder of the female branch
of the Franciscan Order.
