Cremation
and its advantages
This week’s editorial,
Cremation is legitimate,
provided that is was the
wish of the deceased,
points out the advantages
and disadvantages of
cremation from economic,
health, legal and spiritual
standpoints.
One of the highlights of
this edition is the
interview given to our
colleague Orson Peter
Carrara by the colleague
Raul de Mello Franco Jr.,
District Attorney and
Professor of Constitutional
Law at Uniara - University
Center of Araraquara, São
Paulo, where he lives.
Author of several legal
books, Raul de Mello Franco
Jr. in addition to spiritist
speaker, is an active member
of AJE - Legal Spiritist
Association of São Paulo,
whose origin and activities
constitute the main theme of
the interview.
Another highlight of this
edition is the special
entitled On the borders
of epilepsy, authored by
the colleague Nubor Orlando
Facure, spiristist lecturer,
neurosurgeon and medical
director of the Brain
Institute of Campinas-SP.
The XIV Statewide Spiritist
Conference was held last
week in Pinhais-PR, with the
special participation of
Divaldo Franco, as shown in
the article by Paulo Salerno
that is also one of the
highlights of this edition.

On this date - March 25th
- José Petitinga
disincarnated one of the
pioneers of the spiritist
movement in Bahia. His
disincarnation occurred in
1939 when Petitinga was 73
years old. One of his most
relevant accomplishments was
the foundation on December
25th, 1915, of
the Spiritist Union of Bahia
- currently Spiritist
Federation of the State of
Bahia - which he presided
until the day of his death.
