The Links between suicide
and anencephaly
This week’s editorial,
Chico Xavier and the
children who are born maimed,
focuses on the causes that
give rise to the
difficulties involving the
reincarnation of special
children and anencephalic.
Our interviewed this week is
the colleague Liszt Rangel
de Miranda Coelho, from
Recife-PE, journalist and
student of psychology,
paixonate about Ancient and
Medieval History. A
spiritist lecturer for the
past 18 years, with seven
books published, he actively
collaborated in the founding
and maintenance of some
spiritist centers in Olinda
and Recife, including the
Spiritist Group Júlio César
and the Spiritist League of
Pernambuco. This inteview,
granted to our collaborator
Orson Peter Carrara, is one
of the highlights of this
edition.
Another highlight is the
special article "Suicide
and abortion of anencephalic",
written by our collaborator
Luiz Carlos Formiga, from
Rio de Janeiro-RJ. In his
article, the author talks
about the links between
suicidal behavior and cases
of anencephaly.
One more edition of the Days
of Spiritist Culture was
held on April 21st
and 22nd in
Obidos, Portugal, that had
as its general theme the
phrase "Live beyond the
crisis." The report on
the event, authored by Mário
Correia, is one of the
highlights of this edition.

On this day - April 29th
- Amalia Domingo Soler
disincarnated in Barcelona,
Spain. The fact occurred in
1909. Born in Seville, where
she was born on November 10th,
1835, Amalia was one of the
exponents of the Spanish
spiritist movement, in which
she served as promoter,
writer and activist. It is
of her writing the book
"Memories of Padre Germano,"
dictated by Padre Germano,
her spiritual guide.
Since the last issue, this
magazine has a new
collaborator in the area of
translations. It is the
colleague Ricardo Morante,
based in Lima, Peru, to whom
we take this opportunity to
send him our welcome.
