A chat with Marileda Kluge
Manica, from Ijuí-RS
This week’s editorial “A
lot has to change for Brazil
to become a serious country”
recognizes that moral
backwardness is not the sole
privilege of those who live
our country, but it is
unfortunately the standard
in the world in which we
live. Given this, any change
for the better will require
much effort from everyone.
One of the highlights of
this edition is the
interview that the young
Marileda Kluge Manica
granted to our collaborator
Antonio Augusto Nascimento.
Established in the city of
Ijuí in Rio Grande do Sul,
Marileda talks about her
work with the Spiritist
Society Relief Fraternity,
in her city, and also tells
how she faced and overcame
cancer. "Before any illness”
- she says – “it is
important to keep your
faith."
Another highlight of this
edition is the special
article written by Orson
Peter Carrara titled “A
phrase from Voltaire”.
According to Orson, the
phrase, part of a post
mortem communication, should
be cause for reflection by
all of us who serve in
Spiritism.
Marinei Ferreira de Rezende
recounts the creation of the
Spiritist Chorus Nosso Lar,
whose first performance took
place during the Londrina
Spiritist Week in July 2008.
The story, illustrated with
several pictures, is also
one of the highlights of
this edition.

This issue starts of the
sequential and methodical
study of the best known work
of Allan Kardec: "The Gospel
According to Spiritism", the
third book of the Kardecian
Pentateuch, whose first
