A chat with Jaime
Ferreira
Lopes
This week’s editorial, "What
to expect in the year that
starts", focuses on the
tradition of making the
start of each year a balance
of the period just ended,
with the consequent
establishment of plans for
the next stage that begins.
Our interview this week is
the colleague Jaime Ferreira
Lopes, founder of the
National Movement of
Citizens for Life (Brazil
Without Abortion), who tells
us about the goals of the
movement, its difficulties,
barriers encountered and the
results already achieved.
Born in Rubim-MG, Jaime has
lived for 18 years in
Brasilia-DF. The interview
is one of the highlights of
this edition.
Another highlight is the
special article titled "Searching
for meaning in life",
authored by Diamantino
Lourenço Rodrigues de
Bártolo, from Venade-Caminha
(Portugal). In the article,
the author defends the idea
that the New World, whose
construction we intend to
promote, must include in its
development, not only
spirituality but also all
possible materiality.
On December 12-19, was held
in Salvador-BA, one more
stage of the Movement: You
and Peace, created and
implemented by Divaldo
Franco, as shown in the
article by Paulo Salerno
which is also one of the
highlights of this edition.
