Claudia Gelernter speaks
to
the Magazine
"Lack of attention and
mental laziness, here are
two serious problems". This
is the title and subject of
the editorial of this
present issue, which
comments on the new book -
Focus - by Daniel
Goleman, the author of the
bestseller Emotional
Intelligence, published
in 1996.
Claudia Aparecida Mandate
Gelernter, born in Sao Paulo
and living in the city of
Vinhedo (SP), is our
interviewee this week.
Clinical psychologist and
active Spiritist, the
scholar from Sao Paulo tells
us about guilt, remorse and
regret, in the light of
psychology and Spiritist
teachings. In the interview,
Claudia says, "remorse
arises mainly from our
wounded pride." The
interview is one of the
highlights of this edition.
Another highlight of this
edition is the Special
"Party Ideology x Doctrine
of Spirits, written by the
colleague Jorge Hessen, from
Brasília (DF). In the
article, Hessen says that
the Doctrine of Spirits does
not encourage the
involvement with political
and party functions. “And
does not allow its tribune
to be used by party
propaganda of any
candidates”, says our
colleague.
On August 3rd, the second
edition of the Movement You
and Peace was held in the
city of Amparo (SP), in the
Padua Salles Square, and our
collaborator, Julius
Zacarchenco, from Sumare
(SP) tells us about it. The
article also constitutes one
of the highlights of this
present edition.

A methodical and sequential
study of the book
Spiritists Facts, begins
in this Issue. This is one
of the classics of Spiritism,
by William Crookes, who
presents the reader with a
copious collection of facts
observed by Crookes and
other wise men.
