The investiture of Barack Obama and its perspectives
An immense public, estimated in 1.8 million people, watched closely, in the past day 20th, to the investiture of the new president of the United States of America, Barack Hussein Obama, who took office of the most important position of the country in a moment of doubts and difficulties.
Although in his speech he has defined the country as a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus, and also of non-believers, the ceremony was marked by the presence of the Bible in the presidential oath and by a balanced sermon pronounced by the Pastor Rick Warren, who invoked Lord’s help in his speech and, at the end, prayed the known Our Father.
It is very good to see from the part of the high administration of such important country the reverence to God and the acknowledgement of the importance of Jesus’ teachings in our lives!
It’s clear that between the word and the action there is a long way to go, but we cannot just forget recognising that it’s a good beginning. In a troubled world and involved in so many conflicts, nobody has the right of disdaining the help of the Divine Providence, since there are moments in life – and they are many – in which nothing is capable of superseding the power of faith and its extraordinary resources, in face of mystical ascendants who dominate centres of human progress in all departments, of which Emmanuel referred to in his book “Lighbound”, work that was received by Francisco Cândido Xavier by automatic handwriting in 1938, when the planet was also living moments of great turbulences which ended up causing the II World War.
In this book, Emmanuel shows that, since the geologic sculpture of this orb, Christ has acted upon the organisation of all outbreaks of the civilisation of the planet, reason why there is no motive to exempt his help in the crisis that we go through.
Life cannot, with effect, restrict itself to the bashful limits of material conquests. There is something much more deep and important than conquering, than having. According to what the Spiritism teaches us, there is a very clear purpose in the passage of men in the world, which is their spiritual improvement in all senses, as much as, the improvement of the own planet.
Straightforward and objective, the speech of Barack Obama recognised the difficulties of the moments, but transmitted the certainty that they must be and will be faced, as a matter of fact, as it should be the attitude of a man before the tests of life, which do not appear in our way to strike us down but, yes, to be won.
Earth has reached a moment in which cannot do without peace and in what it is necessary, once and for all, put an end in every action that does not conciliate with the law of God and with the teachings of Christ.
Wish God that the investiture of Barack Obama to the most important job of the America opens possible perspectives so such fact becomes true!
