There are people that
attribute the bitterness of
life to chance. Such an idea
is equivalent of doubting
God exists and admitting
that we are all immersed in
something that doesn’t have
the any wisdom or anything
similar to what we
understand as mercy, as
pointed out in this week’s
editorial, entitled“Bitterness
of life from a Spiritist
perspective”.
One of the highlights in
this issue is the
interesting interview
conceded to our collaborator
and editor Orson Peter
Carrara by the confrere
Afonso Rosa Mahomed Sicandar,
from Maputo, capital of
Mozambique. During the
interview, the confrere
talks about the Spiritist
Movement in his country,
having roots spread across
other African countries.
Another highlight in the
present edition is the
special report entitled
”Forgetfulness of the past”,
in which José Passini, from
Juiz de Fora (state of Minas
Gerais), analyzes two ideas
that have been disseminated
in our circle, related to
the André Luiz’s identity
and the association made
between Kardec and the
medium Chico Xavier. As well
observed by the confrere,
it’s easy to conciliate the
virile image of João Huss
with Kardec, on the other
hand is difficult to see the
same spirit presenting
itself as Francisco Cândido
Xavier.
On 14th and 15th
November, it has been
realized the 4th
edition of the Portuguese
Journey of Medicine and
Spirituality in the
auditorium of the Faculty of
Dental Medicine of the
University of Lisbon, as
shows the special report
which is another highlight
in this edition.
