Once upon a time
a boy called
Bruno only
thought of
himself. He
never shared
anything with
anyone. Whenever
he got a sweets
from his
grandparents or
uncles, he hided
them away, in
his closet. He
managed to hide
it so well no
one was able to
find it. He
considered it to
be his treasure.
He wanted to eat
it all by
himself, when he
was alone in his
room.

|
His mom would
tell him off for
his behaviour: |
— Bruno, my son...
We need to learn
to share what we
have with other
people. We can’t
be selfish and
wish everything
for ourselves.
We receive back
on the same
proportion we
give.
He then
replied:
— Me? I got it
so it’s mine! I
don’t want to
share it with
anyone.
His smaller
brothers Breno
and Bianca would
eat together the
sweets they got
as a present.
Bruno only
looked at them
eating, and
started to think
of all pleasure
he would have
when he would
eat on his own,
his sweets.
Therefore, Bruno
went out to play
and forgot about
the sweets. He
hided them so
well and time
went by....
One day, his
brothers came
home with a
package of
sweets both got
as a present.
They came home
smilling and
showing the
sweets they got
from a gentleman
who was
distributing it
on the streets
to all
children.
Bruno didn’t get
any because he
was at home at
that time. He
then asked:
— Can I have
some? I want
some sweets too!
Breno then
replied:
— I am not
giving it to you.
You never share
your sweets with
anyone!
Bruno then got
angry and said
to his
brothers:
— You are so
selfish!
Nevermind... I
have got a lot
hidden from you.
I don’t need
your sweets! You
will see!
|
He then ran to
his room. He was
followed by his
brothers, who
were anxious to
see where Brune
kept all his
sweets.
Bruno opened his
closed. He then
opened a drawer
that had at the
end of it a
hidden place.
That’s where he
kept all sweets
he got as
presents from
his family.
He then put his
hand inside the
drawer and took
out all
chocolates,
sweets and cakes
that were hidden
there. He then
noticed all of
them were off!
The chocolates
looked old, the
sweets smelled
horrible and the
cakes changed
its colour!
Bruno got so
disappointed...
He then realised
that, due to his
selfishness, he
didn’t share
anything with
anyone. Even
worse! He
realised he didn’t
even enjoy the
lovely things he
hidded away with
great care.
|
Unfortunatelely,
he had to bin
everything. He
then sat at his
bed and started
to cry. His
little brothers
had a very good
heart. They came
closer to him
and said:
— Don’t feel sad,
Bruno.
They shared
everything they
got on that day
with their older
brother.
— I don’t
deserve your
generosity. I
learned a very
important lesson
today. I now
understand what
mum always tells
me. The more we
share, they more
we receive. I
never
shared anything
with anyone.
Therefore, you
decided to share
with me since
you have great
hearts. I now
promisse to be
less selfish. I
promisse!
