Hello,
my dear friend!
2009 has passed
by really
quickly! A new
year is just
arriving! Let
2010 be just as
good as 2009 for
all of us.
It is now time
to look back and
see how we have
behaved.
Have you thought
about that, my
little friend?
Socrates was a
Classical
philosopher who
lived in Greece
many years ago.
He thought we
need to get to
know ourselves
to become a good
person.
How can we do
it? It’s easy!
Do you know what
consciousness
is?
This is the
feeling a person
has when
something
happens within
herself. It is
an intimate
judgement,
through each the
person approves
good actions and
disapproves bad
actions.
Did you
understand?
Each of us need,
by the end of
the day, to
check our
awareness. We
need to look
deep into our
thoughts and
heart and ask
you:
— What did I do
today that was
good? What did I
do that was bad?
Can anyone
complain about
me today? Have I
treated everyone
nicely? Have I
fought with my
brothers? Have I
obeyed my
parents? Have I
treated the
teachers and my
colleagues at
school with
respect?
I can then ask
the help of God
and my guardian
angel to help
me. By doing
this each person
then realises
what needs to be
changed. On the
following day,
you can then
behave different
and correct the
mistakes.
When a year
finishes, you
need to do the
same. Try to
analyse what
needs to be
changed, so in
the New Year we
become better
people. It’s
also important
to plan what
needs to be done
during the year.
Do you know why?
The ones who
don’t know where
are going will
not get
anywhere!
So, let’s work!
Think!
How would you
like this year
to be? What
would you like
to do, learn,
get to know?
Remember
everything you
planned to do
last year and
haven’t managed
to get done.
This is the time
to act!
You are on
holiday and
deserve a rest.
Therefore, there
is something
really useful to
be done over the
holiday period,
such as:
— Get your
wardrobe
organised, clean
your drawers to
get new school
supplies
— Get the old
books used and
donate it to
someone who
needs them.
— Get clothes,
shoes and toys
that don’t fit
you anymore.
Remember: things
that are not
suitable for
you; can be
useful to
someone else.
|
|
— Share some of
the sweets you
earner with
other children.
— Read an
interesting
book.
— Play a lot and
have fun!
These things
will make you
feel really good
about yourself!
Let Jesus help
you and your
family, giving
you a blessed
new year with
happiness, peace
and love.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Aunt Celia
