Studies conducted by three
centers of research shows
that a chemical dependent
isn’t formed on the streets
and that his tendency for
using drugs starts to at
home, but – on the other
hand – a good education can
prevent it, as explains this
week’s editorial, entitled
The importance of home
when the subject is drugs.
Among the highlights in this
edition, we call the
reader’s attention to the
interview conceded by the
confrere Antonio Coelho
Filho, from Santo André (Sao
Paulo state), to our
collaborator and editor
Orson Peter Carrara. The
confrere in charge of the
production of the TV show
Transição (Transition),
which is presented on
Sundays afternoon on REDE TV
channel, explains origin and
objective of the program
that has been on air for
more than one year now and
has already conquered the
audience in general.
Another highlight in this
edition is the special
report by Francisco Rebouças,
from Niterói (Rio Janeiro
state), regarding the moral
influence of the medium over
the Spiritist
communications. As the
author reminds us, according
to the Spiritist teachings,
although the medium is mere
instrument in terms of
execution, he or she
performs a relevant
influence over the activity
in moral terms.
One more CONMEL has taken
place last carnival,
gathering Spiritist
youngsters during this
period of the year in the
region coordinated by the
Inter-Regional Norte, as
shows the report that
integrates this edition and
is also a highlight this
week.

Two news finish this Letter.
One is auspicious while the
other is sad. One more movie
about Spiritist themes will
be launched this year. This
time the focus is “Nosso Lar”
(Our Home), based on the
work with the same name and
written by André Luiz. It’s
a super production whose
trailer can been seen on
YouTube:

The sad news is soon we will
no longer count on Emerson
Gadelha Lacerda’s
collaboration. He’s
currently in charge of
translating both the
Carta ao Leitor (Letter to
the reader) and the
Editorial sessions into
English, which open
the weekly editions of this
magazine. If the reader can
help us to find someone able
to replace our departing
friend, we’ll be very
grateful from the bottom of
our hearts.
