“Life is the
expression
of
God in us”
Our fellow
Spiritist from
the small town
of Uchoa, in
Brazil’s São

talks about his
experience in
the Spiritist
Movement

A Spiritist from
birth, Daniel
Almella (photo)
was born and
brought up in
the town of
Uchoa, which has
a population of
10,000
inhabitants. He
has a degree in
Biology and
works as a
secondary
teacher. His is
the president of
the Mathew, the
Apostle
Spiritist Centre
in Uchoa. In
this interview
he talks about
his work as a
volunteer in the
|
Spiritist
Movement: |
Tell us firstly
about the town
of Uchoa.
Uchoa is a small
town in the
northwest of São
Paulo, Brazil’s
most populous
state. It has
just over 9,000
inhabitants.
Like many other
small Brazilian
towns, it has
agriculture as
its main
economic
activity.
When was the
first Spiritist
Centre opened in
the town?
It was on March
31st
1932, when the
Mathew, the
Apostle
Spiritist Centre
was opened.
What does it
mean to you
having been born
into a Spiritist
family?
I see it as a
blessing from
Our Master
Jesus. Knowing
my needs to make
up for the
mistakes of the
past and to
prepare the
pathway for the
future, he
allowed us to be
blessed by the
Spiritual lights
of these
Teachings, which
guide us through
our
responsibilities
before life and
God’s laws.
What have been
the main
benefits to your
personal life?
It has been to
understand that
we are all
immortal
Spiritists
created by a God
of justice and
love, who places
us on earth, a
learning
institution
where we are
called in order
to learn our
lesson, in the
words of the
great Spiritual
Benefactor,
André Luiz. We
are here to
progress in the
fields of
knowledge and
love. Spiritism
brings us
comfort for the
present and
gives us
encouragement
and courage in
our work to
achieve
happiness. That
will be achieved
when we finally
have a clear
conscience and
internal peace.
As we strive to
achieve that
goal, we improve
our relationship
with ourselves,
with those
around us – they
become brothers
and sisters in
our eyes – and
with Divinity.
What perspective
of life do you
get through your
knowledge of
Spiritism?
Life is the
expression of
God in us.
Therefore, be
here on earth on
in any of the
homes of our
Father, we will
be facing a call
to progress and
evolve as part
of the process
set up with the
Laws of the
Creator – laws
that were summed
up and
experienced in
full by Jesus
Christ in his
demonstrations
of love. Thus I
see life through
the lens of
faith, hope and
the certainty
that God, Jesus
and the
Spiritual
Benefactors are
guarding us at
every moment of
our existence.
What is your
assessment of
the current
period in the
history of
humankind in the
light of
Spiritism?
I have learned
from the
Spiritual
Benefactors that
approximately 22
billion Spirits,
including
incarnate and
discarnate, live
on earth or
around the
planet. We are
all linked to
the planet,
under the
Spiritual
guidance of
Jesus Christ. We
are coming to
the end of a
cycle of
learning,
announced by the
prophets as “the
end of times.”
In this phase of
transition,
earth will move
a step up in the
hierarchy of the
planets, from a
Spiritual point
of view. It will
go up to the
level of planet
of regeneration,
from its current
state of planet
of trials and
tribulations. As
mentioned in
Genesis,
this is the time
when a new
generation will
come up,
confirming the
words of Jesus
Christ when he
said that the
good will
inherit the
earth. In other
words, they will
gain the right
of reincarnating
here to go ahead
with their
process of
evolution. So, I
see this period
as a time when
we need to
reform our
faith, to work
for the good of
others, missing
no opportunities
to help, waiting
for a bright
Spiritual
future.
What are the
main needs and
demands of the
people who
attend the
activities of
your Spiritist
Centre?
They are coming
to us looking
for Spiritual
comfort. They
need to learn
and are
attracted by the
direct and
objective
explanations
Spiritist
provides for the
matters of life.
Some even say
that it was only
through
Spiritism that
they have been
able to
understand Jesus
Christ.
Is there
particular
experience that
you would like
to share with
our readers?
I am very
grateful to
Spiritism for
everything it
has provided to
me, to my
family, whom I
love despite not
having been able
to show them my
love as I would
have liked. I am
very grateful to
my mother, who
has been an
example of a
truly charitable
person. I thank
the guidance
from the masters
here in the
Spiritist Centre
and the patience
of all my fellow
Spiritists in
Uchoa and the
region with me.
Your final
thoughts,
please.
I thank this
opportunity
provided by O
Consolador.
Congratulations
for your
important work
in the
dissemination of
Spiritism. And I
apologise for
eventual flaws
that are so
normal in the
stage of
Spiritual
development I
am. I would like
to add that
there are in my
town people with
a more
significant
record regarding
their dedication
to Spiritism and
to other people.
