The
communication
between the two
plans
In his book The
Dead Speak to
us, Father
François Brune
categorically
affirms that we
can communicate
with those we
call dead
We have had
e-mails and
messages from
several
followers of
other faith
groups that want
to "open our
eyes" to the
truth, their
truth, of
course; even
though some
authors do not
admit to them.
Some seek to
highlight the
issue of
"miracles" as a
basis for
arguing that God
chose their
religion to
produce them.
Wouldn’t this be
a privilege?
First we want to
say that it will
not be
"miracles" that
will convince
us, since we do
not believe in
them. We rather
believe that
they are in fact
natural facts,
the laws of
which we are
still ignorant
of, and that
they have been
taking place
since early
times,
everywhere and
to anyone. There
is no privilege
for anyone,
since "God does
not make the
choice of some
people over
others",
especially
because, as it
is stated in the
book Wisdom
(11.24): "You
love all that
exists, and do
not despise
anything that
has been
created. If you
hated something,
you would not
have created
it.”
But we want to
highlight one of
the key points
of the Spiritist
Doctrine,
especially as it
is through this
point that the
doctrine was
formed, which it
is the
communication
with the dead
and their
influence in the
world of
so-called
"living."
The case we are
going to tell
you about has
not been
properly
reported as it
happened,
because
unfortunately
memory fails us
by not retaining
anything we
want, but it is
a real fact
recently
reported on the
TV news.
A couple
celebrating
their golden
wedding
anniversary (or
was it silver?),
along with
relatives and
friends, were in
a church
attending a mass
celebrated in
thanksgiving to
God for the
mutual
coexistence of
the spouses up
to that date, a
fact that today,
is becoming less
frequent, since
separation has
become a routine
for many
couples. To keep
a memory of that
event, the
ceremony was
beautifully
filmed, as the
future memory of
what happened
that day could
be lost
completely.
In the days that
followed, all
family members
gathered to
watch what was
recorded on
video, but no
one was paying
attention to
certain details,
until a given
day when one of
them called the
attention of
everyone
regarding two
people who were
situated well at
the back of the
church and were
going from one
side to another.
They were able
to identify one
of them. The
surprise was
general as it
was the image of
a relative who
had died, or
returned to the
spiritual world
where it came
from, assuming
its true
condition of
being spiritual.
If there is any
kind of
communication
with the dead,
what is the
meaning
of Catholics
praying and
asking
requests
of them?
It was a big
uproar at the
time. The couple
appeared on
several TV
channels showing
the tape and who
stated
categorically to
recognise,
amongst those
two who crossed
from one side to
another in the
Church, one of
his disembodied
relatives. One
TV channel,
called the
"experts" in to
give their
opinions about
it and among
them was a
Catholic priest.
This priest, who
calls himself an
expert in
parapsychology
and is in fact a
recognized anti-spiritist,
said that
everything was
result of their
imagination.
That it would
have been
people’s
unconscious
which had
produced such a
thing. However
the couple
starting up an
argument against
that priest,
who, if not
contained, might
have mislead
millions of
viewers.
The fact is that
the priest,
dressed as a
scientist, did
not explain how
the unconscious
can produce the
image of a
person that
nobody was
thinking of at
that moment, and
now has its own
life to walk
back and forth
in the Church.
However, this
same priest
accepts without
challenging,
those whom
Catholics call
saints, can
appear to the so
called living.
They cite the
apparition of
several of them
and on many
occasions, they
even resort to
the annals of
the Church to
confirm this
assertion. Then
we ask do only
the Spirits of
so-called
Catholic saints
manifest
themselves?
Since we talk
about saints, we
can add: If
there isn’t any
kind of
communication
with the dead,
what is the
point of
Catholics
praying for them
and asking
requests of
them? And more,
how do these
saints attend to
the requests
without there
being a means of
communication
between the
spiritual and
material world?
As you can see,
we can find the
best proof of
the dead
communicating
exactly in that
which they
believe. But not
wanting to cling
to only this
kind of proof,
we now turn to
the Bible, the
so called sacred
book in which
they believe,
the word of God
and all that is
contained in it
does not present
any mistake.
Consider the
following
passages:
1Sam 10:6 - The
Spirit of the
LORD will come
upon you in
power, and you
will prophesy
with them; and
you will be
changed into a
different
person.
Here we see
clearly the
occurrence of a
person in a
trance
(mediumistic)
receiving the
influence of a
spirit. However,
you will say
that it is "the"
spirit and not
"a" spirit?
According to
several scholars
of the Bible,
when in Greek
the definite
article does not
appear it is
because the
correct
translation
should be "a"
and not "the" as
put in some
Bible
translations. In
addition, we
ask: if it was
really the
spirit of God,
would he not be
"incorporated”
(be received,
come down) into
someone. Later
on you will
understand why
we used the term
"incorporate".
Saul being now
influenced by a
good spirit,
then by a bad
spirit, is
perfectly
acceptable; it
is what really
happens
Is there a human
being with such
an elevation as
to be able to
receive in his
body the direct
influence of the
Creator? Perhaps
some people
believe this,
but we do not,
since we cannot
see God as just
the Creator of
the Earth, but
the Creator of
the infinite
Universe, the
magnitude of
which we do not
yet have the
ability to
understand.
1Sam 11:6 - When
Saul heard their
words, the
Spirit of God
came upon him in
power, and he
burned with
anger.
This passage
proves that God
does not
influence people
in the same way
that spirits do.
Those who accept
this must also
admit that God,
on influencing
someone can make
the person take
a "violent
anger", as
narrated in this
passage. Only a
fanatic could
accept such an
absurdity.
1Sm 16: 14-23 -
Now the Spirit
of the LORD had
departed from
Saul, and an
evil spirit from
the LORD
tormented him.15
Saul's
attendants said
to him, See, an
evil spirit from
God is
tormenting
you16. Let our
lord command his
servants here to
search for
someone who can
play the harp.
He will play
when the evil
spirit from God
comes upon you,
and you will
feel better.
Whenever the
spirit from God
came upon Saul,
David would take
his harp and
play. Then
relief would
come to Saul; he
would feel
better, and the
evil spirit
would leave him.
Saul being now
influenced by a
good spirit
(spirit of the
Lord), then by
an evil spirit
(evil spirit
from God) is
perfectly
acceptable, it
is what actually
happens. There
is no way
contest those
who have no
sectarian
spirit, of
ecclesiastic
selfishness or
roused to
fanaticism by
their religious
leaders.
1 Samuel
19:9-10: But an
evil spirit from
the LORD came
upon Saul as he
was sitting in
his house with
his spear in his
hand. While
David was
playing the
harp, Saul tried
to pin him to
the wall with
his spear, but
David eluded him
as Saul drove
the spear into
the wall. That
night David made
good his escape.
1 Sam 19:19-24:
Word came to
Saul: David is
in Naioth at
Ramah; so he
sent men to
capture him. But
when they saw a
group of
prophets
prophesying,
with Samuel
standing there
as their leader,
the Spirit of
God came upon
Saul's men and
they also
prophesied. Saul
was told about
it, and he sent
more men, and
they prophesied
too. Saul sent
men a third
time, and they
also prophesied.
Finally, he
himself left for
Ramah and went
to the great
cistern at Secu.
And he asked
where are Samuel
and David? Over
in Naioth at
Ramah, they
said. So Saul
went to Naioth
at Ramah. But
the Spirit of
God came even
upon him, and he
walked along
prophesying
until he came to
Naioth. He
stripped off his
robes and also
prophesied in
Samuel's
presence. He lay
that way all
that day and
night. This is
why people say,
Is Saul also
among the
prophets?
The most
compelling
pieces of
evidence of
communication
with the dead
are found, one
in the Old and
another
in the
New Testament
Let's take a
look at the
expressions in
the two stories
above - "an evil
spirit of the
Lord came down"
and "the spirit
of God came
down." It is
just as it is
when usually one
speaks when one
does not have
knowledge of the
mediumistic
phenomenon.
People say: "the
spirit came
down" on
someone, on
seeing someone
who is under the
influence of a
Spirit. What is
the difference?
The two most
compelling
pieces of
evidence of
communication
with the dead
will be found -
one in the Old
Testament and
one in the New
Testament.
The first is an
old acquaintance
of our opponents
who want in any
way to seek
another
interpretation
to it, in a
manner it does
not become
evident the fact
that there was a
communication
with the Spirit
of a person who
had passed away.
It is narrated
in 1 Samuel 28,
we summarize:
Saul, surrounded
by the
Philistines, was
wondering what
would happen to
the people in
case of war
against them,
and was seeking
a prophet of
Endor so that
she would
predict for him
what was going
to happen in
future. He asks
the medium, in
this case a
woman to evoke
the Spirit of
Samuel, so he
could consult
him as to what
afflicted him.
The Spirit of
Samuel appears,
and the
incorporated
medium, that is,
after coming
down in the
medium (be
received by),
Saul tells that
he would die in
that war, which
actually ended
up happening.
This passage can
be found in the
New Testament,
and we must
emphasize that
the fact happens
with Jesus. On
one occasion,
while
accompanied by
Peter, James and
John, he ascends
Mount Tabor, and
there he is
transformed and
the Spirits of
Moses and Elijah
appear to him
and converse
with Him
(Matthew
17:1-9). There
is no way for
incorporation to
be clearer than
that. Again,
only the
fanatics do not
see, or do not
want to see.
We could publish
here several
studies carried
on the subject
of communication
of the dead,
which were made
by honest people
and recognized
as scientific
knowledge. But
we will not
write them on
two grounds. The
first because
certain things,
even though they
are real facts,
do not need
proof, because
even so because
in some
situations the
conditions for
testing are very
difficult , such
as the belief in
God, whose
existence no one
has yet managed
to prove,
despite all of
us accept it
peacefully.
The second
because the
current owners
of the truth,
that at least
intend to do
research with
the same
scientific rigor
of researchers,
will go on
affirming things
such as these:
the conditions
of time ...,
Freud had not
brought the
possibility of
unconscious yet
and so on .
Indeed, that
this hypothesis
of the
unconscious is
talked about but
no one has ever
proved its
existence, how
and under what
conditions the
unconscious
produces the
facts attributed
to it.
Let's talk about
testimonials
from people who
do not belong to
spiritist ranks,
so that we try
to have an
impartial view.
Again we will
cite two cases.
In the book
The Beyond
exists, Lino
Albertini Sardos
reports the case
of communication
he had with his
son who had
already passed
away
The first one of
them is reported
in the book The
Beyond Exists,
where the author
reports the case
of the
communication he
had with his
already dead
son. The author
is Lino Sardos
Albertini, from
whose biography
we extract these
data: a lawyer,
a professional
person who works
in Trieste,
where he lives,
at Rua Piccardi,
43. He was
president of the
Academy of
Economic and
Legal Studies of
"Upper Trieste"
and president of
the Diocesan
Committee of
Catholic Action
of Trieste. He
was - and
perhaps still is
- national vice
president of the
Pan-European
Italian Union
and President of
the Arqueoclub
of Trieste. He
is the author of
several essays.
From the back
cover of the
book one can
read:
"This book is
the chronicle of
an unusual
dialogue between
two different
dimensions,
between here and
the beyond,
between a father
who calls and a
son, who died in
tragic
circumstances
and who answers.
The dialogue
occurs through a
sensitive medium
that
categorically
excludes herself
from any rewards
and refuses to
develop a public
activity.”
"She practices a
kind of
automatic
writing which
unravels the
thread that
holds the lawyer
and his son,
Andre.”
"Critical and
sceptical at
first, Lino
Sardos Albertini
had to become
resigned to the
unexplained
facts that Andre
presented, the
severe logic of
the answers and
their
consistency. The
way of
transmission of
messages is
extraordinary.”
“Engaging as a
novel, engulfing
- even in a
painful
situation - of
faith and hope,
this book will
induce its
readers to a
meaningful, deep
meditation. " (Albertina,
1989, back
cover.)”
The book which
we have
available to us,
has been
translated from
the 12th Italian
edition (perhaps
a best-seller?),
by a publishing
house with a
strict Catholic
orientation,
called "Edições
Loyola”, but
unfortunately,
when faced with
what they had
actually
published, no
more new
editions were
printed. Thus,
the truth once
more was swept
under the
carpet.
The second book
is more
interesting
because its
author is a
Catholic priest.
His name is
Father François
Brune, and in
his book it
says:
Father Charles
François Antoine
Brune holds a
baccalaureate
degree in Latin,
Greek and
Philosophy. He
studied six
years of "Grand
Seminaire", five
years of them
being in the
Catholic
Institute of
Paris and the
University of
Tubingen. He
studied for five
years for a
higher degree
course in Latin
and Greek at the
University of
Sorbonne. He
studied
Assyrian-Babylonian,
Hebrew languages
and Egyptian
hieroglyphic. He
graduated in
theology at the
Catholic
Institute of
Paris in 1960,
and in Sacred
Scriptures, at
the Biblical
Institute in
Rome in 1964. He
taught several
"Seminars" for
seven years. He
studied the
tradition of
Eastern
Christians and
is dedicated to
the study of
paranormal
phenomena. (BRUNE,
1991, back of
the cover.)
Death is just a
passage.
Our
life continues
without
interruption
until the end of
time.
According to
what we have
learned, Father
Brune is the
representative
of the Vatican
on matters
related to
Electronic Voice
Phenomena
(Communication
from the dead by
electronic
apparatus).
In his book,
after stating
categorically
that "Afterlife
exists and we
can communicate
with those who
we call the
dead" (Bruner,
1991, p. 15),
Father François
Brune finishes
off by saying:
I wrote this
book to try to
break the thick
wall of silence,
misunderstanding,
and ostracism,
erected by the
great majority
of the
intellectual
circles in the
West. For them,
to talk about
eternity is
tolerable; to
say that you can
actually enter
into
communication
with it is
considered
intolerable.
[...]
Take this book
as a journey.
Abandon your
preconceptions
as much as
possible. Do not
be afraid; if
this book does
not transform
you, soon you
will realize. In
any case, read
this book as the
story of a true
and fabulous
discovery.
Increasingly
then, these
essential truths
will emerge
which will
become, as I
wish for you,
the matter of
your lives.
Death is just a
passage. Our
life continues
without
interruption
until the end of
time. We will
take with us to
the beyond our
personality, our
memories, and
our character. (BRUNE,
1991, pages
15-17.)
So here is the
speech of Father
Brune by way of
conclusion, the
content of which
we suggest for
reflection for
those who try to
say that
everything in
Spiritism is
superstition,
the result of
imagination or
something like
that.
